Low Energy Door

Below are the BEA sensor solutions that will meet or exceed the ANSI 156.19-2002 standards.*

BEA, Inc. highly recommends and intensely promotes the safest sensor package that exceeds the ANSI standards for low energy doors, to protect all those who pass through them.

* The ANSI 156.19 standard is strictly performance driven. Therefore, following each installation and/or adjustment, it is necessary to properly walk test each door for ANSI compliance.

Note I: The ANSI 156.19 for low energy doors does not require the use of activation or safety sensors
to operate the door. However, we greatly recommend the use of a door mounted presence sensor on
the approach side of the door.

Note II: The SuperScanI is mounted on the approach side to allow reactivation during the closing cycle.
Thus, safety is not solely dependent on time delay.

The MC Linx allows manual use of the door without causing unintended activation.
