The Warehouse Assistant performs all supporting warehouse functions including pulling production orders and cycle counts, assists with inventory preparation, participates in semi-annual physical inventories, assists with incoming freight separation, stocks freight in its designated location, maintains adequate stock of materials in Finished Goods, assists the Shipping Department as needed, maintains appearance and cleanliness of the warehouse and shipping areas and all other assigned duties. Specific duties are as follows:
Core Kitting Responsibilities
Determine production orders to pull from over-allocation report and min-max report.
Review ‘pile of orders’ that need product and pull kits accordingly.
Post production orders.
Post serial numbers on captured BOM’s.
Communicate production orders that cannot be picked daily to Production Manager.
Communicate insufficient stock of any BOM item while pulling kits.
Review and restock Finished Goods daily: boxes, plates, transmitters, body mounts, flush mount boxes. Unbox transmitters and receivers. An Excel spreadsheet should be created listing all items that can be stocked.
Stock all items that move over from Quality Control.
Wrap outgoing pallets.
Assist with unloading all trucks.
Assist with unloading UPS, FedEx and DHL.
Load all trucks (outgoing pallets).
Stock shipping boxes onto shelves at UPS station.
Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and shipping areas by taking out trash as often as is needed, sweep floors on a regular basis, Shop Vac areas once per week, throw away broken pallets daily.

High school diploma or GED
A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a warehouse/shipping environment
